The Evron Centre, 1 Adswood Lane West, Stockport

The Evron Centre is a very special place.  It is a small non-residential Retreat and Conference Centre owned and run by The Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Evron. Despite its location, near to the centre of Stockport, visitors experience it as an oasis of calmness and spirituality. The centre is within easy reach of Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire.  There is ample free parking onsite and it is within walking distance of Stockport Station, a stop for all trains from the south.  The normal travelling time from London is under two hours.

Driving to the Venue

From the South (M60 clockwise)

Exit the M60 at Junction 2 (sign-posted for Stockport).  Take the fourth exit off the roundabout onto Hollwood way.  Continue onto Wood Street then turn right onto King Street West, just before the Bus Depot which is on the left hand side.  Carry on straight up the hill onto Shaw Heath past the Railway Station on the left.  Take the second exist off the roundabout to stay on Shaw Heath.  Continue straight on the junction with Longshut Lane West then after a few hundred yards, turn right onto Adswood Lane West.  The centre is on the left immediately after the junction.

From the North (M60 anticlockwise)

Exit the M60 at Junction 2 (sign-posted for Stockport). Take the first exit off the roundabout onto Hollwood way. Continue onto Wood Street then turn right onto King Street West, just before the Bus Depot which is on the left hand side. Rail Travel

The stadium is 0.7 miles from Stockport Station. It is a 15 minute walk to the centre or a short taxi ride.  You should exit the station by the back entrance – at the bottom of the stairs turn in the opposite direction from the main entrance (usually left – but it depends which stairs you come down). If you end up at the main entrance then you have turned the wrong way! Walking directions are given below:

If you wish to take a taxi then you are best to exit the station by the main entrance, where there is a taxi rank.
